Off the back of their huge fourth album ‘Cavalier Youth’, the You Me At Six lads undoubtedly have a lot to live up to. Their last effort gifted the band their first ever number one album upon its debut, and catapulted them from playing fairly small venues to arenas all over the UK on a joint headline tour with fellow seasoned performers All Time Low. The band is joined by their supporting act VANT a British rock act that is set to be a perfect complement to the gritty style that You Me at Six have developed and included in their repertoire over their last 2 albums.
It is undeniable at this point that the ‘Lived A Lie’ hit-makers could sell out an arena tour on the back of their own success, but in anticipation of their new album ‘Night People’ which is set for release on 13th January next year, the Surrey quintet are stripping it back and playing a limited tour of a few iconic but small venues in locations they haven’t necessarily preformed at for several years – in some cases not since their second effort ‘Hold Me Down’.
Unfortunately, the date at Rock City sold out within hours of the tickets going on sale, and even a few last minute tickets sold out promptly upon their release. If you are one of the lucky people who managed to grab one, enjoy every minute, because if You Me At Six’s new album manages to achieve even a fraction of the success of their last – this is the last time you’re going to be able to see them play such an intimate venue in a very long time.
