Following the huge critical success of She Drew The Gun’s debut LP ‘Memories Of The Future’ the band hit the road for their first UK headline tour and will stop off in Nottingham on the 21st of October. Spearheaded by politicised and provocative new single ‘Pit Pony’, She Drew The Gun will tour the highlights of what is surely a contender for record of the year.
The debut draws lyrical inspiration from Louisa Roach’s (aka She Drew The Gun) own real life experiences. Self-scrutiny and drunken reflection are just a few of the threads in the rich tapestry of intertwining themes found within her music, which isn’t afraid to veer outside the norm.
The Merseyside-originating band offer dreamy lyrical psych-pop and have gone from strength to strength since their formation in 2013. From humble origins performing at open mic events and acoustic gigs, they have now gained the attention of Radio 6Music, performed at a BBC Introducing live session and now this year have been crowned winners of Glastonbury’s ‘Emerging Talent Competition’ 2016. Clearly ones to watch so this tour will undoubtedly be highly anticipated.
