Top Songs of 2024 - friends of The Mic

Music enthusiasts across the globe eagerly awaited the unveiling of their 2024 Spotify Wrapped, ready to relive the rhythms and anthems that defined their year. For many, this year was filled with fresh new releases to enjoy, with Charli XCX’s Brat album emerging as the summer soundtrack and Sabrina Carpenter’s Espresso becoming the inescapable anthem of 2024. For others, 2024 was the perfect time to rediscover timeless classics and explore the works of artists they were previously unfamiliar with.

For me, despite identifying myself as a die-hard shoe gazing and 60's dream pop lover, somehow Spotify informed me that my top song of 2024 was in fact Greaze Mode by Skepta. After great confusion, I realised it had been my go-to song when hoovering a canteen, working as a dinner lady in the holiday break. What can I say, the carpet never looked cleaner.

Here are a couple of our members top songs from their 2024 Spotify Wrapped we recommend checking out…
