The only thing you should be doing this Sunday.. The Sunday Chill

On the Sunday 15th March, doors opening at 6.30pm, The University of Nottingham’s UNICEF UK society are holding a gig in one of Notts finest venues, The Lacehouse. With all funds going to UNICEF, and being supported by six local artists and DJ’s who want to make their mark on the wonderful world, there’s no reason to say no!

They include:

Cheshire And The Cat, a Notts based jazzy, ska band. Their use of mixed vocals, and swingin’ saxophones really will get up up and dancing.

George Holroydrecently interviewed by Impact Magazine, the Notts uni Maths student manages spread out his time to be a man of many skills. His Ben Howard-esq vibe is delightfully intriguing. Check out his debut EP, Peru below.

Oliver James Shaw has gigged around Notts for a while. His beautifully tingly voice is like magic, drawing you in with every breath.

UoN History and Politics student, Freddie Scott is new to the scene of gigs, and this being his live debut I am looking forward to see what he offers. He has “good raw talent, one man and a guitar kind of vibe” so I have heard, which is always a nice soothing touch to the up rise of the indie band culture.

Xavi & Imi again are more the heart at soul of Nottingham’s live music scene, having played regularly at open-mic nights and the likes of Filthys.

Alongside the artists, DJ Trio ‘Pear Tree Productions’ will be performing later from 10:30pm, to give the end of the night the edge from the beautiful acoustics.

Only £4 a ticket online here, and join the Facebook event hope to see you there!
