Monday 2nd November marks just over 7 months since The Coronas blew away a packed Bodega, and Dublin’s own indie-rock-royalty are returning to do it all over again.
The four-piece are used to playing to thousands in Ireland’s biggest venues, supporting the likes of The Script, but their tour in the UK gives the opportunity to see the band for a fraction of the price at smaller, more intimate venues.
The boys released their fourth album within the last year, the tracks generating a vast range of emotions. Title track “The Long Way” is both emotional and anthemic. My personal favourite, the funky “Get Loose” is impossible not to dance to. Singles “How This Goes” and “Just Like That” are energetic and effervescent, delivering the quartet’s punchy brand of Irish rock. Plus, the music video for the latter track tells the heart warming tale of two separated hoovers in love:

Fan favourites such as “San Diego Song” are sure to generate big sing-alongs from the fans, and capture the attention of new listeners. Older tracks such as “Heroes or Ghosts” and “Somebody Else’s Hands” will pull at your heartstrings, and after lots of swaying and waving lighters in the air, there won’t be a dry eye in the house.
The Coronas will make will make you sing, dance, laugh, cry, and swoon; see them in at Rescue Rooms before they’re playing back to playing arenas in the UK as well as Ireland, and beyond!
