Reverend and the Makers Preview

All roads lead to Nottingham has been the frequent reminder from frontman Jon McClure, as his band Reverend and the Makers are set to bring the curtain down on their latest tour on December 3rd at the Rock City.

The twelve date tour promoting their fifth studio album ‘Mirrors’, which incidentally lived up to the standards of all of the Sheffield five-piece’s previous LP releases by cracking the UK top 20, began in Manchester earlier this month and has taken in acclaimed venues around the country in places such as Sheffield and London, along with a sold out gig at the notorious and legendary King Tut’s in Glasgow.

Propelled into the limelight by debut record ‘The State of Things’, along with a prestigious supporting berth of the legendary Oasis and their number-5 hit ‘Heavyweight Champion of the World’, ‘Revs’ have maintained their success through a combination of factors, such as a loyal fanbase and support gained through their songs being featured on cult sports TV shows such as Soccer AM and on commercially popular video games such as the ‘FIFA’ series.

Yet above everything else what sets Reverend and the Makers apart is their incredible self-promotion in search of acclamation, as shown by their reputation for garnering support on social mediums such as Twitter. It is this unashamed confidence and self-assurance which makes them well worth the trip to go and see at the beginning of next month.
