Second on the bill behind Saint Raymond at Rock City on Friday, the band previously known as Dog Is Dead will no doubt attract a crowd in pursuit of hearing the disco-themed indie-pop which has seen them reach critically acclaimed status.
With a sound that has been described as being similar to former band ‘Tribes’ and having a ‘hint of jazz’ to it, they have released one studio album up to now entitled ‘All Our Favourite Stories’, which reached number 45 in the UK chart, D.I.D have previously played in their hometown of Nottingham on a number of occasions; however their most recent homecoming was actually in 2013, when they played both a show at the Rock City and a slot at the summer Splendour festival.
Since they last played, they have changed their name and even released a new song, ‘Hotels’, which is expected to be played along with tracks from their debut release. Whatever your reasons for attending Our City, it is recommended that you go along to see D.I.D, even if their name does have room for improvement, even following the change!
