Single Review: London Grammar - ‘Big Picture’

On Thursday, London Grammar released their brand-new single, ‘Big Picture’ via Metal & Dust/ Ministry Of Sound.

Produced by acclaimed British musician Jon Hopkins (Brian Eno, King Creosote), this immense, sweeping soundscape is the second track to be heard from London Grammar this year. The band (Hannah Reid, Dot Major and Dan Rothman) worked with renowned video director Sophie Muller (Coldplay, Beyonce) to create a widescreen visual concept, vivid enough to reflect the track itself. The result, a video unlike anything we’ve seen from the band before. ‘Big Picture’ follows on from the epic, ‘Rooting For You’ which the trio dropped unexpectedly on New Year’s Day along with a performance video. Undoubtedly, Hannah Reid’s unmistakable, soaring vocals are the real star of this track.

London Grammar emerged in 2013 with the release of their critically acclaimed debut album, ‘If You Wait’, and quickly went on to becoming one of the most exciting international breakthrough acts of recent times, selling over 1.5 million albums worldwide, winning a prestigious Ivor Novello Award for their hit single ‘Strong’ and being nominated for a BRIT Award.

Definitely keep an eye out for more new material in the coming weeks!
