Kwabs gives us a taster of what to expect at No Tomorrow

British singer Kwabs is set to bring his incredible soulful voice to the green grass of Wollaton Park in June.  Playing a hotly anticipated set on the main stage of No Tomorrow, we grabbed a few words from the man himself ahead of the festival.  His debut album ‘Love + War’ is out 18th May, check out his latest single ‘Perfect Ruin’ below.

Firstly, congratulations on being billed to play the main stage at No Tomorrow. Do you have anything to tease the crowd with? Anything we should expect to hear or look out for?

The shows are a bit of an emotional/physical/spiritual roller-coaster ride. So I guess expect to be taken on a journey. That’s all I can say….

Your album ‘Love + War’ is due for release a couple weeks before the festival. How do you feel getting to play your debut to a huge festival crowd?

It’s always amazing to play to big crowds…you get pretty wrapped up in the scale of it… The energy of it. I suppose it’ll be a bit different playing so much new material. But I think part of the the fun is making the new material connect and getting the crowd on board.

Your empowering, soulful voice is widely praised and admired. You could argue that the line-up hosts a whole range of powerful solo singers, but who would you most like to collaborate with on the lineup?

Probably James Bay… I think he’s real talented…there’s a lack of male singer collaborations out there…plus we’re pretty different musically so I reckon that would be exciting.

Look out for Kwabs on the main stage of No Tomorrow Festival in June!  Grab your tickets here.
