Dr. Dre suing Death Row Records
Andre Young, better known as Dr. Dre, is reportedly suing Death Row Records for over $3 million in unpaid royalties. The breakdown includes unpaid artist-producer royalties, digital sales, and unpaid mechanical royalties and includes a bonus that he was owed. Dre co-founded Death Row Records in 1991, before leaving in 1996 and forming Aftermath Records, leaving the label in Suge Knight’s hands who eventually sold it on to WideAwake in 2009.

Cilvia Demo – Isaiah Rashad
The debut project from Top Dawg Entertainment’s new signing; Cilvia Demo is not the completed body of work that Isaiah Rashad had envisioned for his debut album as he did not have the time, hence the “demo” in the title, instead he wanted to try different techniques and he sees Cilvia as more of a showcase. The general direction of the project is an introduction to Isaiah Rashad and by the end of the project I felt as though I understood the 22 year old rapper from Chattanooga much more than I had beforehand.
Overall, this definitely does its job as a showcase as Isaiah displays his individuality, giving an insight into what to expect in the future. This is a must listen if you’re looking for a fresh, mellow sound as Isaiah Rashad definitely brings this in classic TDE fashion.
