Up-and-coming rock band Fort Hope have recently dropped their new video for single ‘Plans’.
Taken from their new self-titled EP released on LAB Records, ‘Plans’ opens with a delicate and soothing piano intro from frontman Jon Gaskin; don’t be mislead into a peaceful trap though for as soon as the last key is pressed, in comes the suspense-building tones of Gaskin’s E-string that without warning transport you into a hate-filled rant towards lies, deceit and doubt. Gaskin’s do or die approach to savouring plans compliments the dense, raspy tones of Simon Rowland’s bass and Jamie Nicholls’ thumping drums. Check out the video below:
You may recognise the band as 3 of the 5 former members of electronic rock outfit My Passion. Having toured with Kill Hannah, Don Broco and All Time Low on the Kerrang! Tour in 2010, Fort Hope have a lot to live up to in order to escape the shadow of it’s predecessors; although if ‘Plans’ and the new EP is anything to go by, they’re well on their way already.
