Fatherson return to Notts for headline tour

On February 17th, the Bodega will play host to the Nottingham date of Fatherson’s big UK tour, with support from Newcastle’s Boy Jumps Ship. Having previously toured supporting fellow Scots Twin Atlantic, Frightened Rabbit and Prides, fans will have a chance to see the band up close and personal at a much more intimate venue.

Based in Glasgow, the three-piece have steadily been growing their fan base over the last few years, with the help of spots on BBC Introducing. Their dramatic and driving rock sound has developed over the years, with the release of debut album “I Am An Island” in 2014. The album showcased their soaring melodies and meaningful lyrics with singles such as “Mine For Me”, “Always”, “First Born”, and the addictive and catchy “I Like Not Knowing”, which gained airplay and support from several DJs on Radio 1.

Their energetic yet emotional live show will no doubt include these fan-favourites, hopefully alongside some new materials from their upcoming album. “Open Book” is due for release in June 2016, just in time for festival season. The first single from the record was unveiled last month, giving fans a taste of what’s to come with the bold and building “Lost Little Boys”, the chorus scattered with gang vocals, which will surely be a highlight of the night.
