Almost exactly a year since their last headline show at Bodega, Clean Cut Kid are back to play Rescue Rooms.
The band have amassed a gang of loyal fans in Nottingham, having supported bands such as Fickle Friends, The Courteeners and Shura in Nottingham in recent years. Now armed with their debut album ‘Felt’, released back in April, the Liverpudlians are set to play Rescue Rooms on their biggest UK tour to date.
The record is full of fuzzy, scuzzy, upbeat tracks, including fan-favourites ‘Vitamin C’, ‘Runaway’ and ‘We Used to Be in Love’, transcending the boundary between pop and rock. Harmonious vocals are led by husband and wife team Mike and Evelyn, supported by drummer Ross and new bassist Craig. Despite some sombre subject matter, namely love, loss, and heartbreak, it is impossible to leave a Clean Cut Kid show without a smile on your face and joy in your heart; you’ll also likely be a bit warm and sweaty, as dancing is inevitable!
Clean Cut Kid play Rescue Rooms on Monday 23rd October, accompanied by supports Callum Beattie and Marsicans.
