Check out Hawklords for an incomparable live experience

Another obscure gig to announce for you if you’re looking for something completely different to the norm. Space rock band Hawklords are about to hit the road in support of their fifth album, ‘Fusion’, released on Friday and will be playing in Nottingham at the Doghouse (look it up) on the 22nd of October.

The band have been together since their formation in 1978, so are well-versed in the art of performing and should deliver a thrilling show. Their latest album is described by them as, “Exploring the themes of: Sex, Death, Art, Time and Identity”. It is another sonic slab of classic British space-rock, with ‘real’ songs and a strangely beautiful electronic and glissando guitar piece from Harvey Bainbridge (synthesiser and vocals) and Jerry Richards (guitars, multi-instrumentalist and vocal).

Hawklords embark on a major tour of the UK throughout October and early November 2016. Each show features a jaw-dropping digital projected lightshow, specially created by lighting designer and tour circuit veteran, Dave ‘Lighthouse’ Johnson.

The Hawklords’ refusal to bow down to conventional reality makes them both unique and as up-to-date as tomorrow.”

Paul Moody – Classic Rock Magazine October 2015

“Loud, chaotic, and as unstoppable as a crashing meteor, Hawklords are a force to be reckoned with”.

Oz Hardwick – R2 Magazine
