Welcome to another gig news update quickly bringing you up to speed with what’s on the horizon in Nottingham’s live music scene.
Firstly, singer-songwriter Lucy Spraggan will be at Rock City on the 10th March. The 25 year old has come a long way from her time on the X Factor back in 2012, with another two studio albums and most recently an EP in her discography and now embarks on a headline tour. She has always shown plenty of wit and charm in her performances, making this a must-see for fans of a bit of acoustic folk. Tickets on sale now.

Coming up later in 2016 however are 90’s psych-rock outfit Kula Shaker, who will visit Rock City on the 3rd of December. The reformed group celebrate the 20th anniversary of their debut ‘K’ as well as the release of their latest effort ‘K 2.0’ which came out in February. The quartet’s ongoing European tour has shown these experienced performers have still got it so don’t miss out if Britpop/psych-rock is your cup of tea.
Finally, a bit of a last-minute reminder that Benjamin Francis Leftwich is coming to Rescue Rooms on the 26th of September with support from Siv Jacobsen. The young singer-songwriter has just released his second album ‘After the Rain’ last month and is now set to play a handful of UK venues. Tickets are not yet sold out for this gig so if you enjoy his catchy tunes, grab some quick! The Mic’s Ceryn Morris also interviewed Benjamin back in April so you can read what he had to tell her there.
Nothing else to divulge right this moment but keep your eyes peeled for another little newsflash coming soon.
