Nottingham’s very own neo-soul singer/songwriter Ady Suleiman is set to take on Rescue Rooms on Wednesday the 2nd of March as part of his headline UK tour.
Born in Grantham, the half-Tanzanian, half-English 23 year old has previously supported the likes of Leon Bridges, Lianne Le Havas and Laura Mvula. Having picked up Gilles Peterson’s ‘Breakthrough Act of 2014’ at the Worldwide awards and working alongside Chance The Rapper, Ady Suleiman is set to explode onto the music scene.
Like Nottingham, Rescue Rooms is close to Ady’s heart. He told Nottingham Post that he will have local support at Rescue Rooms with his family and friends present. He went on to say he has ‘a lot to thank Nottingham for…the scene, the media, the fans’ and said he ‘wouldn’t be where [he is] without Nottingham.
Ady Suleiman had a busy 2015, releasing two successful EPs, which he hope to hear him play. Ady’s influences include Amy Winehouse, B.B King and Stevie Wonder. His debut album is set to be released in the summer and we will hopefully get a taste of what is to come.
