Ady Suleiman heads home to play sold out show

Get ready for soul and charisma as local talent Ady Suleiman takes over the Bodega for a gig that will be something of a homecoming.

Nottingham has proven itself to be a key player in the UK music industry – after all, it’s the city that has given us London Grammar, Saint Raymond and Jake Bugg to name but a few. Now Grantham born singer-songwriter Ady Suleiman is gearing up to become the next big name to come out of Notts.

After playing smaller venues in the city such as Jam Café and the Red Room of Rescue Rooms, Suleiman will be taking over the Bodega with his brand of soulful acoustic pop. Citing Erykah Badu, Bob Marley and J Dilla as key influences, expect a dreamy sound with underlying jazzy and reggae vibes. Coupled with heartfelt, often cheeky lyrics, Ady’s sound is distinctive and sets him apart.

It’s been a good couple of months for Ady – as well as supporting acts such as Lianne La Havas and Laura Mvula on tour, he’s also played at major festivals including Nottingham’s Dot To Dot, Wireless and Bestival. Being featured on Chance The Rapper’s EP “Surf” has given him exposure on both sides of the Atlantic.

Check out Ady’s latest single, “What’s The Score”, featuring Joey Bada$$ below.

Ady Suleiman will be playing @ Bodega on 15th November. Doors open 7pm.
